The best way to find out what we would charge for a job or our availability is to call and ask. Every job is different because every house and pests problem is different. That’s why each job is custom to each customer’s home and needs. In Pest Control you usually get what you pay for. So if you price check around and most well-known companies are $65 to $70 and you get a bid for $35 from a Mickey mouse company then you may not get the results you’re looking for because Mickey can’t afford to use the chemicals we use or use the safety measures we use. We usually are a little lower in price than the competition but are not interested in competing with Mickey Mouse because we only do quality work with safety first methods.
Well, we can tell you our profits will go way up if we did use heat treatments but then we are putting the safety of your home and its contents in unnecessary danger just so we can make more money. With the chemicals, we have now it’s easier and safer to control bed bugs so why would we risk your property? These chemicals are listed ok to spray your mattress and furniture which means anyone telling you these chemicals are harsh probably doesn’t know what they are talking about. There are some very harsh chemicals out there but those chemicals are only used by the companies that don’t know better.
Back when we first started I would never recommend using a termite bait station because they were junk and didn’t work. These days it’s a totally different ball game now because this baiting system works and dominates other treatments we have used. A lot of companies will tell you that using Termidor or other chemicals that contain fipronil is the only way to go and we also sometimes use fipronil and think it works great but what they are not telling you is it has been found that when UV sunlight hits fipronil it can create a poisonous gas that’s dangerous. So before we just start hosing you down it’s best to look at all of the good solutions keeping your health in mind. If we can’t control your termites with Trelona ATBS then yes we will come back at no cost to you if you don’t mind and use fipronil but we have never found a case yet that we could not control the problem with Trelona ATBS. A good bait station is the best way to find and monitor Termites by far. We don’t put wood in our stations. We always use poisonous colony-killing bait in every station.
This has been a problem in the industry for as long as we can remember. A lot of companies will hire pretty much anyone no matter what their background is. Here at Healthy Homes Exterminating, technicians have to pass a background check and if they look or act in an unprofessional manner then they won’t be working for us. We have seen some very shady characters working in the pest control industry from criminals to drug addicts and more.
This is another problem many in the industry have. Most pest problems don’t require a company to just throw large amounts of harsh chemicals around. Most companies don’t understand the concept of reading a label. Over the 20+ years we have asked many companies and technicians what they use for this or that and 95% of the time we are shocked at what we hear. Most pest problems don’t require a technician to mix 3 or 4 different chemicals to solve the problem. There is always a safer and more effective way to kill any pest problem without harming the occupants.
The best way to find out if we provide pest control in your town is to call and ask. There are way too many towns to list them all that we have treated before. If you have Termites or Bed Bugs then there is a good chance we treat there with no extra charges for travel.
We can usually get to you depending on the problem within a day or two. Some companies claim to have same-day service which makes me feel bad for their regular customers or if it’s raining then you just wasted your money.
